     James Griffin married Mary Jolly, daughter of Frederick Jolly, before October 1798. James Griffin died before 3 June 1808 as his property was divided between his wife and 3 children on that date.¹

     Mary Jolly married James Griffin, son of John Griffin, before October 1798. Mary Jolly died before 1835.

     John Griffin died after 22 October 1778 as he left a deed of gift to his son James on that date, leaving him various pieces of furniture and 300 acres of land upon the death of John and his wife.¹

     Abraham Warren was born say 1715. He married Mary Horsington, daughter of Benedictus Horsington and Dinah Carraway, say 1735.

     Benedictus Horsington was born circa 1689 as indicated by a court entry on 5 Oct 1709, "Upon the petition of Benedict Horsington now an orphan & liver in this County being about twenty years of age for to make choice of a Guardian which was granted him according to his petition & accordingly he made choice of John Carraway the elder for his guardian."¹ He appeared in court to chose a guardian on 5 October 1709 at Princess Anne County, Virginia.¹ He married Dinah Carraway, daughter of John Carraway and Ann (?), say 1711. Benedictus Horsington was a house joiner on 4 April 1712 at Princess Anne County, Virginia.² On 5 July 1715, Benedictus Horsington was appointed by the court as Constable for the Western Shore District at Princess Anne County, Virginia.³ Benedictus Horsington with his wife sold land to James Carraway on 26 November 1725 at Princess Anne County, Virginia.⁴ Benedictus Horsington died before 10 May 1731 at Craven County, North Carolina, when his estate inventory was recorded.⁵

     Dinah Carraway was born circa 1691 at Virginia. She married Benedictus Horsington, son of Thomas Horsington and Katherin (?), say 1711. Dinah Carraway married (?) Gumley after 1732. Dinah Carraway sold land to her four daughters for love, goodwill, and affection on 4 August 1732 at Craven County, North Carolina. The 275 acres was to be equally divided between them.¹ She died after 1755 at Craven County, North Carolina.

     Sarah Horsington married Cason Brinson. Sarah Horsington was born say 1718.

     Elizabeth Horsington was born say 1712.

     Dinah L. Horsington married William Fulsher. Dinah L. Horsington was born say 1714.

     Cason Brinson married Sarah Horsington, daughter of Benedictus Horsington and Dinah Carraway.

     Harvey Lee Crisp was born on 11 December 1944 at Beaufort County, North Carolina.² He married Carolyn "Sue" Cayton on 16 September 1963.² Harvey Lee Crisp died on 4 June 2004 at Greenville, Pitt County, North Carolina, at age 59.²

     Gerald Lawrence Crisp was born on 23 March 1943 at Pitt County, North Carolina. He died on 7 January 1997 at age 53.¹

     Ashley Earl Crisp was born on 8 August 1934 at Beaufort County, North Carolina. He died on 6 April 2007 at Washington, Beaufort County, North Carolina, at age 72.¹

     Viola M. Thomas was born on 16 April 1896. She married Alvin Willis on 15 October 1919 at Craven County, North Carolina. Viola M. Thomas died on 16 December 1969 at Norfolk, Virginia, at age 73.

     Charles G. Thomas was born on 10 November 1897.¹ He died on 18 May 1934 at Carteret County, North Carolina, at age 36 "as a result of a lingering illness and ulcerated stomach."^2,1 He never married.

     Della Lorena Thomas was born on 5 April 1899.¹ She married Albert Ingram. Della Lorena Thomas died on 3 October 1959 at Craven County, North Carolina, at age 60.^1,2

     Rachel Elizabeth Thomas was born on 23 July 1902. She died on 7 July 1989 at age 86. She never married.

     Luther Clyde Thomas was born on 9 June 1904. He married Irene Clark on 4 December 1953 at Granville County, North Carolina. Luther Clyde Thomas died on 30 October 1988 at age 84.

     Lyda Lorena Thomas was born on 29 April 1907. She married John Ben "Jack" Thompson on 3 January 1931 at Craven County, North Carolina. Lyda Lorena Thomas died on 31 January 1982 at Craven County Hospital, New Bern, Craven County, North Carolina, at age 74.¹

     Alonza Thomas was born on 30 June 1909.¹ He married Nettie Conway on 15 June 1929 at Carteret County, North Carolina. Alonza Thomas died on 24 January 1997 at age 87.¹

He was born on 10 February 1916 according to the Social Security Applications and Claims Index. He married Kathleen Omar Harrald on 14 September 1943 at Norfolk, Virginia. Sidney Thomas married Lela Willis on 1 November 1946 at Carteret County, North Carolina. Sidney Thomas died on 28 December 2000 at age 85.

     Lewis Gray "Butchie" Thomas was also known as Louis Thomas. Lewis Gray "Butchie" Thomas was also known as Lewis Gregory "Butchie" Thomas. He was born on 9 April 1917 at Carteret County, North Carolina. He married Odessa Brooks on 8 November 1937 at Carteret County, North Carolina. Lewis Gray "Butchie" Thomas died on 23 October 2002 at Morehead City, Carteret County, North Carolina, at age 85.

     Sylvia Hortense Thomas was born circa 1919. She married George Thomas Jackson on 1 September 1939 at Pasquotank County, North Carolina. Sylvia Hortense Thomas and George Thomas Jackson were divorced on 22 November 1947 at Norfolk, Virginia.
