     Mrytle Inez Lamm was born on 16 December 1923. She married Leslie Oscar Wetherington, son of Henry Willis Wetherington and Cora Eugenia Whitford, on 25 January 1942. Mrytle Inez Lamm died on 16 July 2012 at age 88.

     Leslie Oscar Wetherington Jr. was born on 31 October 1955. He married Kathryn Adams Olson on 24 September 1988. Leslie Oscar Wetherington Jr. died on 7 April 2020 at age 64.

     James L. Walker was born on 14 September 1919. He married Marjorie Blanche Wetherington, daughter of Henry Willis Wetherington and Cora Eugenia Whitford, on 19 October 1945. James L. Walker died on 19 September 1993 at age 74.

     Mary Susan Wetherington was born on 30 October 1890. She married Ira Edgar Whitford, son of Lewis David Whitford and Rosa Keul Tuten, on 14 April 1909. Mary Susan Wetherington died on 19 July 1974 at age 83. She was buried at Pine Tree Cemetery, Caton, Craven County, North Carolina.

     Ira Edgar Whitford Jr. was born on 2 August 1915. He married Elizabeth Morris White on 8 December 1942. Ira Edgar Whitford Jr. died on 14 March 1975 at age 59. He was buried at Pine Tree Cemetery, Caton, Craven County, North Carolina.

     Garland Wyatt Whitford was born on 10 July 1924. He married Cornelia Belle Mizelle on 8 June 1957. Garland Wyatt Whitford died on 21 April 1992 at age 67.

     Guy Milton Whitford was born on 1 September 1926. He married Sylvia Holland Tripp, daughter of Warden Tripp and Valencia Thelma Toler, on 19 September 1950. Guy Milton Whitford died on 5 March 1987 at age 60. He was buried at Pine Tree Cemetery, Caton, Craven County, North Carolina.

     Lora Marie Whitford was born on 22 January 1929. She married Robert Alton Gray on 1 September 1950. Lora Marie Whitford died on 1 April 2024 at age 95.

     McRay Keul Whitford was born on 13 May 1931. He married Charlotte Marie Purifoy, daughter of Clifton Purifoy and Minnie Belle Jones, on 18 August 1961 at Craven County, North Carolina. McRay Keul Whitford died on 4 July 2015 at age 84.

     Elizabeth Morris White was born on 20 December 1921. She married Ira Edgar Whitford Jr., son of Ira Edgar Whitford and Mary Susan Wetherington, on 8 December 1942. Elizabeth Morris White died on 31 January 1999 at age 77. She was buried at Pine Tree Cemetery, Caton, Craven County, North Carolina.

     Jeffrey Glenn Grega was born on 8 August 1987. He died on 17 January 2011 at age 23.

     Robert J. Fulcher was born on 24 April 1921. He married Laura Beatrice Whitford, daughter of Ira Edgar Whitford and Mary Susan Wetherington, on 29 May 1949. Robert J. Fulcher died on 18 February 1976 at age 54. He was buried at Pine Tree Cemetery, Caton, Craven County, North Carolina.

     Cornelia Belle Mizelle was born on 22 July 1929. She married Garland Wyatt Whitford, son of Ira Edgar Whitford and Mary Susan Wetherington, on 8 June 1957. Cornelia Belle Mizelle died on 31 August 2005 at New Bern, Craven County, North Carolina, at age 76.¹

     Robert Alton Gray was born on 23 November 1926. He married Lora Marie Whitford, daughter of Ira Edgar Whitford and Mary Susan Wetherington, on 1 September 1950. Robert Alton Gray died on 25 February 1987 at age 60.

     Charlie Bryan Wetherington was born on 30 May 1876. The New Bern Daily Journal reported on 16 Sep 1906 that "While standing near the merry-go-round at the circus grounds last night, Mr. Charles Bryan Wetherington, an employee of Broaddus & Ives [Lumber Company] was hit in the head by a bullet which was evidently meant for somebody else or was possibly fired wild. The ball struck the skull near the base of the brain and lodged in the bone. The man was brought to Dr. Duguid's office and while suffering great pain and weak fom loss of blood he was not unconscious. After a careful examination of the wound he was sent out to the Stewart Sanitorium where his case can be watched and the bullet extracted, which will doubtless be done today. There is no clue as to who did the shooting, no one seems to have heard the report of the pistol. Wetherington had not quarrelled with anyone during the day was was merely an onlooker."¹ The next day, the paper reported "The condition of Mr. C. Bryan Wetherington, the young man hit by a missile at the circus grounds last Tuesday night, was reported last night by the physician, Dr. Duguid, as doing as well as could be expected. Nothing new has developed as to who perpetuated the deed." The paper goes on to state that "The bullet has not been removed and probably will not be, as the physician believes it will do more harm than good to remove it."² On the evening train from Beaufort to New Bern, "Mr. Bryan Wetherington who lives at Cool Springs, in this county...got hold of some 'blind tiger poison' which was his undoing." According to the New Bern Daily Journal of 27 Jul 1909, "He was apparently crazed using violent language and conducting in a manner to terrorize the other passengers. Judge George Brown, Associate Justice of the State Supreme Court was on the train and even the dignity of his command to 'keep the peace' was disregarded. He issued a warrant and at New Bern the offender was taken off, his arm being broken in the melee, and turned over to the city authorities. At the Mayor's court [on 26 Jul] Wetherington was held for appearance at the next term Superior Court in a bond of $125.00 which was given. He also took an oath to drink no more liquor during the next twelve months, the Chief of Police administering the oath."³ He died on 5 November 1935 at Craven County, North Carolina, at age 59. His obituary in the New Bern Tribune read: "Funeral services for Charles Bryan Wetherington, 60, who died early yesterday morning at his home near Ernul, will be held at 3 o'clock this afternoon. Burial will be in the family cemetery. He suffered a heart attack.
     Mr. Wetherington, a prominent farmer of the county, had been ill for the past two months.
     He is survived by four brothers, H.W. Wetherington, M.A. Wetherington, A.B. Wetherington, Guy Wetherington, and one sister, Mrs. I.E. Whitford."⁴ He was buried at Pine Tree Cemetery, Caton, Craven County, North Carolina.

     Lovie Annie Wetherington was born on 19 May 1878. She died on 1 October 1892 at age 14. She was buried at Pine Tree Cemetery, Caton, Craven County, North Carolina.

     Effie Laura Wetherington was born on 9 January 1881. She married Furney Albert Hartley on 18 September 1910 at Craven County, North Carolina.¹ Effie Laura Wetherington died on 16 May 1921 at age 40. She was buried at Pine Tree Cemetery, Caton, Craven County, North Carolina.

     Augustus Biggs Wetherington was born on 7 October 1886. He was injured when he was thrown from a pump car [probably on the local tram railway from Zorah to Askins] on 31 January 1909.¹ He married Rosa Mae Hartley on 28 December 1911. Augustus Biggs Wetherington died on 12 March 1963 at age 76. He was buried at Pine Tree Cemetery, Caton, Craven County, North Carolina.

     Mack Addison Wetherington was born on 7 October 1886. He married Mary Knox, daughter of Charles Bryan Knox and Armetta Elizabeth Toler, on 16 April 1916. Mack Addison Wetherington died on 7 October 1963 at age 77.

     Guy Wetherington was born on 21 July 1894. He married Lora Lane on 17 May 1919 at Beaufort County, North Carolina.¹ Guy Wetherington married Virginia Hickman on 22 December 1928 at Columbus County, North Carolina. Guy Wetherington died on 13 November 1948 at Craven County, North Carolina, at age 54.² He was buried at Pine Tree Cemetery, Caton, Craven County, North Carolina.

     Furney Albert Hartley was born on 11 November 1888. He married Effie Laura Wetherington, daughter of Henry Bryan Wetherington and Laura Toler, on 18 September 1910 at Craven County, North Carolina.¹ Furney Albert Hartley died on 15 January 1966 at Wilmington, New Hanover County, North Carolina, at age 77.

     Oswald Maxwell Hartley was born on 5 May 1914. He married Nola Bertie Wilkins on 31 December 1938 at Wilmington, New Hanover County, North Carolina. Oswald Maxwell Hartley died on 11 June 1970 at age 56.

     Nola Bertie Wilkins was born on 11 February 1908 at Robeson County, North Carolina. She married Oswald Maxwell Hartley, son of Furney Albert Hartley and Effie Laura Wetherington, on 31 December 1938 at Wilmington, New Hanover County, North Carolina. Nola Bertie Wilkins died on 17 August 1983 at age 75.

     Rosa Mae Hartley was born on 14 August 1894. She married Augustus Biggs Wetherington, son of Henry Bryan Wetherington and Laura Toler, on 28 December 1911. Rosa Mae Hartley died on 15 May 1982 at age 87.

     Carlos Wilmont Wetherington was born on 12 September 1912. He married Annie Bell Gaskins on 25 September 1932. Carlos Wilmont Wetherington died on 27 October 1988 at Jacksonville, Duval County, Florida, at age 76.

     Otto Kafer Wetherington was born on 20 December 1919. He married Helen Ann Rohoza on 6 October 1945 at New Haven, Connecticut. Otto Kafer Wetherington married Elizabeth Marie Austin on 29 June 1963 at Duval County, Florida. Otto Kafer Wetherington died on 10 February 1983 at Jacksonville, Duval County, Florida, at age 63.

     Augustus Biggs Wetherington Jr. was born on 3 April 1924. He married Virginia Crotteau on 23 November 1945. Augustus Biggs Wetherington Jr. married Ruth Ann Beatty on 26 July 1958. Augustus Biggs Wetherington Jr. died on 26 August 1993 at age 69.

     Eugene Buel Wetherington was born on 8 June 1927 at Craven County, North Carolina.¹ He married Beatrice Beacham on 10 June 1951. Eugene Buel Wetherington died on 22 October 1993 at Jacksonville, Duval County, Florida, at age 66.
