     Bettie A. Griffin was born circa 1879.

     Dora Pedrick married John Matthew Griffin, son of James Griffin and Margaret Ann Whitehead, on 28 February 1886 at Beaufort County, North Carolina.¹ Dora Pedrick died on 19 February 1887 at Aurora, Beaufort County, North Carolina. Her obituary read, "We regret to say that Mrs. Dora Griffin, wife of John M. Griffin, died on Saturday 19th of February. Mrs. Griffin was very much loved by all who knew her. She was buried on Sunday following. A large concourse of sorrowing friends followed her to the grave. May the God of mercy bless her husband and precious babe."²

     George A. Griffin was born in January 1887. He appeared on the census of 1900 at Lake Landing, Hyde County, North Carolina, in the household of his grandfather, John H. PATRICK.

     Jennie Paul was born in October 1862 according to the 1900 Richlands Township, Beaufort County Census. She married John Matthew Griffin, son of James Griffin and Margaret Ann Whitehead, on 22 December 1890 at Pitt County, North Carolina. Jennie Paul died between 1910 and 1920.

     Sarah Mills was also known as Winnifred Mills as listed on the 1860 Boyds Ferry, Pitt County Census. She was born circa 1858.

     Nabe Mills was also known as William N. Mills as listed on the 1880 Chicod Township, Pitt County Census. He was born circa 1863.

     Mrs. James A. Mills married James A. Mills, son of Allen Mills and Harriet Elizabeth Griffin. Mrs. James A. Mills was born circa 1851.

     Harriet F. Mills was born circa 1874.

     Alexander K. Mills was born circa 1878.

     Lanier Griffin was born on 8 November 1805 at Pitt County, North Carolina.¹ He married Sarah Smith, daughter of Lewis Smith and (?) Elizabeth, circa 1826.¹ Lanier Griffin died on 6 March 1854 at Pitt County, North Carolina, at age 48 due to small pox.¹

     Sarah Smith was born circa 1811.¹ She married Lanier Griffin, son of Josiah Griffin and Martha "Patsey" Whitehead, circa 1826.¹

     Emelie Griffin was born circa 1833.

     Stanly Griffin was born circa 1816 at Pitt County, North Carolina. He married Mary "Polly" Clements on 1 May 1834 at Gibson County, Tennessee. Stanly Griffin signed a power of attorney naming his brother James Griffin of Pitt County to obtain any money due Stanly from the estate of his grandfather, James Griffin on 6 July 1835 at Gibson County, Tennessee.¹ He appeared on the census of 1850 at Sugar Loaf, Crawford County, Arkansas. He died on 5 March 1854 at Chocoville P.O., Sebastian County, Arkansas.²

     Mary "Polly" Clements married Stanly Griffin, son of Josiah Griffin and Martha "Patsey" Whitehead, on 1 May 1834 at Gibson County, Tennessee.
